How we trade options book shipping and handling
BookHolders sets up an account for each customer selling books. If you decide to change your book's selling price just go to Seller Services and change the price. You can access your account here and update your personal information. You have a few options if your books do not sell. The first thing you should do, is to see if your selling price is too high. Then if you'd like, you can reduce the selling price in an effort to get your book sold or sold quicker.
And as a rule of thumb, buyers usually buy books with the best condition and lowest price. Secondly, if the book hasn't sold for a while, it might be an older edition or an unused book, which in that case you may request the book back in the seller services section.
You can also choose to donate your book to charity, as a way to help out your community. Many students will buy older editions for classes if the price is right, so you may want to list your book at a savings price. There is no fee for dropping or picking up your books. Returns must be received within 30 days of purchase date.
This excludes Local Delivery purchases. Purchased for a Class: Full Refund if returned within the first week of classes for books purchased during first week of classes or up to 30 days before the start of classes. Extended to the second week with proof of class withdrawal. Same-Day returns at all other times. In addition to our Book a Courier service and the ability for the seller to specify paid shipping options, the seller can also choose whether to allow buyers to pick up the goods. The following options are available to sellers:. Examples of acceptable agents include friends, family members, employees or professional couriers. If a time cannot be agreed upon for the agent to collect the goods, the seller may cancel the contract at their discretion.
If a buyer wins an auction before reaching an agreement with the seller to pick up the goods, the seller may refuse to permit the buyer to pick up the goods at their discretion. At that point, the buyer may choose a paid shipping option, or either party may cancel the contract.
We understand that some products are large or awkward to ship, and specific shipping arrangements will need to be made. We expect sellers to use this functionality appropriately, and not choose it for things such as mobile phone cases or dresses.
